Pacific Wave Artistic Swim Club

🌊 About Us

Pacific Wave Artistic Swim Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run artistic swimming club serving the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. With origins dating back to 1999, the club was founded by passionate parents and swimmers to make the sport more accessible to youth in Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Burnaby, North Vancouver, and beyond.

Our mission is to provide age-specific training programs—from beginner to elite competitive level—designed to build athleticism, confidence, and community. Whether swimmers are enjoying recreational classes or striving for provincial and national teams, our programming adapts to support every athlete’s journey.

🏆 Our Community & Culture

We take pride in a multicultural, predominantly female membership and coaching team, with over 60% of athletes coming from diverse backgrounds including Asian, Iranian, Egyptian, Persian, Latino, and Muslim communities. This diversity fosters an inclusive environment where athletes thrive collectively.

Our coaches are largely former athletes with extensive regional or national experience. Led by a certified Level 5 Head Coach fluent in Mandarin, our coaching culture emphasizes long-term athlete development, technique, artistry, and personal growth on and off the deck.

🥇 Achievements & Recognition

Pacific Wave athletes and coaches have earned multiple awards from BC Artistic Swimming, including National Team of the Year honors, bursaries for excellence, and top provincial rankings at national competitions. These achievements reflect our athletes’ commitment and the club’s growing standard of excellence.
