About the Board
The Pacific Wave Artistic Swim Club is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. These dedicated individuals bring a wealth of experience from diverse backgrounds — including, business, education, and community leadership. Their role is to set strategic direction, ensure good governance, and support our athletes, coaches, and families.

Vice-President
The Vice-President supports the President and other Board members to ensure smooth governance and operational leadership. This role may be delegated special projects and responsibilities, and serves as acting President in their absence. The Vice-President plays a key part in maintaining alignment with the Club’s mission and helping drive strategic initiatives forward.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for managing the Club’s finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring the club adheres to financial policies and regulations. The Treasurer oversees all financial transactions and presents financial statements to the Board. The Treasurer acts as the Controller.
Sezgi Gumus
Registrar
The Registrar is responsible for managing athlete records and overseeing the Club’s registration process. This includes setting up and maintaining registration and team rosters in TeamSnap, responding to inquiries from families regarding Try-It sessions and program registration, and liaising with BC Artistic Swimming (BCAS) on RAMP-related matters. The Registrar also supports program implementation and coordination alongside coaches and other Board members.

Secretary
The Secretary maintains all official records of the Club, including meeting minutes, bylaws, and member records. The Secretary is also responsible for distributing meeting agendas and ensuring effective communication within the Board and with members.
Louie Sun
Operations
The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing many of the operational aspects of the club. It has a heavy focus on ensuring we have enough volunteers where we need them to be. This role oversees the FCP program.
Governance and Meetings
The Board meets regularly to oversee the operations of the club, make policy decisions, and ensure that we are meeting our mission. All members are welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where elections for the Board are held.
