Pacific Wave Artistic Swim Club (PWAS) fosters the pursuit of excellence at all levels of the sport of artistic swimming while developing athletes to be engaged citizens and ambassadors of the sport. Starting as the Vancouver Aquasonics more than 50 years ago, the club is now based in Richmond and serves participants from across the Lower Mainland of BC.
We are committed to providing all participants, their families and coaches with a great sports experience, from our beginner development programs to provincial and national competitive streams. Our goal is to encourage and develop athletes to reach their highest potential.
PWAS offers training programs for kids from five (5) to (20) years of age. Beginners just learning synchro to national competitors aiming for FINA Nationals or Olympics.
Following the Canadian Sport for Life Program, we train our athletes through the 7 stages of Long Term Athlete Development. We strive to make it fun, challenging, and engaging! The athletes will be taught a solid foundation of physical, tactical and mental skills including coordination, agility, rhythm, balance, creativity and critical thinking skills that help them to thrive in sport and life.
We have a dedicated team of coaches and volunteers, including our Board of Directors, who fufil the day to day Club operations. All parents have the opportunity to volunteer and contribute!
PWAS would like to acknowledge that we are fortunate to be able to train and gather on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish People.
